- ➤ Monroe Garden Club is accepting applications for its 2026 Beautification Grant Program that offers up to $1,000 to fund community projects. Nonprofit and government groups must apply by Jan. 16 and will learn grant decisions on Feb. 10. KEDM
- ➤ Oaks Church in Monroe will host a community faith event from Jan 22 to Jan 24 at 5800 Frontage Road + the event will include 15 speakers attracting attendees from around the world. KNOE
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ KNOE launched its debut streamcast on Monday, Jan. 5 at 5:00 p.m. CST and will air live daily at 4 p.m. to keep local viewers updated. KNOE
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Industry leaders said that if Venezuela boosts oil production, local refineries could offer lower pump prices for consumers plus the upstream oil sector may lose profit margins until companies secure clear federal safeguards and stability for future investments. KNOE
