- ➤ The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum and Twin Cities Krewe de Riviere will host a family-friendly Mardi Gras party at the museum on Jan. 25 from 1-3 p.m. Attendees enjoy king cake decorating, mask making, STEM activities and giveaways from partners (Raising Cane’s and Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo). - ➤ Ouachita Parish teachers can apply for a $500 grant from the West Monroe and West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce Adopt-A-School committee; applications close Feb. 4, and four teachers (two elementary, one middle, one high) will be chosen.
