On Saturday, Jan. 24, Louisiana wildlife agents rescued stranded boaters at Wham Brake and duck hunters on the Red River while also saving juveniles found in a stalled truck at an Upper Ouachita refuge, urging caution amid extreme cold.

Nearly 50,000 Entergy customers lost power on Sunday due to winter storm Fern in Northeast Louisiana & two men died from hypothermia, while dangerously low temperatures will hit Tuesday morning.

ArkLaMiss remains dry today while wet weather moves in from the east, and dangerously cold temperatures are forecast as Entergy reported nearly 50,000 power outages and two hypothermia-related deaths from winter storm Fern.
