- ➤ The Monroe Chamber of Commerce celebrated 105 years and shared plans for future growth while the Department of Education approved Louisiana’s Ed-Flex program that gives local districts more flexibility with federal funds. KNOE

- ➤ Delhi Elementary hosted its first annual African American wax museum as an interactive exhibit to celebrate local history. Teachers Griffin + Shaw organized the event so students dressed as influential historical figures to deliver short speeches and engage the community. KNOE

- ➤ Monroe city officials finished a $4.6-million project to rehabilitate DeSiard Street last week & celebrated the completed makeover that improved an essential local road. The Ouachita Citizen

- ➤ Louisiana Tech Football announced Tuesday morning that former wide receiver Devonta Lee died after battling bone cancer — the native of Fluker played at LSU and Louisiana Tech and was remembered for his fighter’s spirit. KNOE
- ➤ St. Fredricks Boys Basketball team was named Little Caesars Team of the Week after finishing the regular season as the Division IV select bracket's #3 seed — they will host early playoff games at home. KNOE
