  • The United Way of Northeast Louisiana raised over $2.7 million in their 2024 campaign, acknowledging partners and volunteers at a celebration for their contributions to the community.  KNOE
  • ULM's campus ministry will host a weekly fish fry fundraiser at Christ the King Chapel every Friday until April 11.  KNOE
  • The City of Monroe Public Works Department is resolving a water leak on Erin Street, affecting only Murray Place Apartments temporarily.  KNOE
  • The Chennault Aviation and Military Museum is collecting gently used clothing to support veterans and their families, including attire for job interviews.  KNOE
  • The 9th Annual Empty Bowls Event hosted by the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana at the Monroe Civic Center on March 8, 2025, aims to combat hunger through ticket sales and donations, featuring food tasting, live music, and custom souvenir bowls.  KEDM

  • A windstorm in Monroe, LA, led to seven power poles being damaged, causing outages, with Ruston Police advising residents to report hazards and crews working on restoration.  KNOE

  • A former U.S. Postal Service employee in Monroe was sentenced to nine years in prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy involving methamphetamine and marijuana.  KNOE
  • Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office arrested employee James Nutt for the burglary of Cash Out Bingo, recovering nearly $27,000 stolen from its safe without signs of forced entry.  KEDM
