- ➤ The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a male suspect who robbed Casa Latina in West Monroe, and he is described as White/Hispanic, slender, 5'6-6' tall, armed and dangerous, and was last seen turning south on Rowan Street; anyone with information is urged to call 318-329-1200. - ➤ The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching today for 18-year-old Jakiron McGuire—about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 125 pounds—who is wanted on several charges including first degree murder and is considered armed and dangerous. KNOE

- ➤ Louisiana Delta Community College will host Career Exploration Day on March 27 at 10:30 a.m. at its West Monroe campus where students in grades seven through 12 will learn about industries, discover job opportunities, and tour the campus — all to explore what the college has to offer. KNOE
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Monroe City Council held a special meeting on March 18 to discuss two ordinances—one to adopt the 2025-2026 operating budget, amended to increase by 3 percent to $72.4 million, and one for a five-year capital improvement plan. The council will revisit the capital improvement plan ordinance on March 25 at 6 p.m. KNOE

- ➤ The University of Louisiana Monroe announced that Phil Cunningham is the new head coach — he takes over after Keith Richard retired in December. He served as the team's assistant coach last season and will be introduced today at 11 a.m. inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum — where he looks forward to building a strong program. KNOE
