COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Monroe’s GEO Reentry Services hosted a Transition Graduation event to give individuals charged with a crime a second chance in life. The program offers services such as a twelve step program, parenting classes, substance abuse help, and job readiness training—assisting participants in getting IDs and licenses. KNOE
- ➤ Kiroli Park in West Monroe will soon feature a rainbow bridge for pet owners to honor their lost pets as part of a project led by Julie Pfeiffer. She has raised over $560 with a goal of $1,200 and the city will build the bridge near the dog park so owners can leave a collar to remember their pets. KNOE

ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Monroe Police Department said cyclist Kevin Johnston died after being struck by a car just before 7 a.m. on March 26 at the corner of Riverside Drive and Rochelle Street — blood work will show if the driver was impaired. KNOE
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for Patrice Golson, a 26-year-old from Monroe who was last seen leaving her home on Shady Lane on March 24 at 2:30 a.m.—she wore a black jacket, light-colored sweatpants and Nike slides—and asks anyone with tips to call the sheriff’s office. KNOE

- ➤ Today, the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles will offer Real ID walk-in appointments statewide—letting residents obtain their identification without a scheduled appointment. MyArkLaMiss
- ➤ On March 28, Congresswoman Julia Letlow attended the Morehouse Parish Chamber of Commerce Lunch in Bastrop—she explained that tariffs serve as a negotiation tool, praised the success of the Farmers Assistance Program for drought-hit farmers, and previewed the $10 billion Meta Center project for northeast Louisiana.
