- ➤ Residents are invited to the Wild Wild West festival on Friday, Apr. 10 at 6:00 p.m. at Alley Park in downtown West Monroe, where attendees can enjoy barbecue, live music by No Good Horses, and western-themed fun for all ages for $75 general admission. KEDM

- ➤ Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo will host Eggstravaganza 2026; director Phil Crawley shared details on Good Morning ArkLaMiss and said the event will feature family-friendly activities in the park. KNOE
- ➤ The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council is hosting the Brown Bag Concert Series every Wednesday in April from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Palace Park (220 DeSiard Street), offering local music, free admission, free cookies from Mulhearn's, and a $6 box lunch available from Newk's Eatery. KEDM
- ➤ Farmer Jack Dailey shared his concerns about drought as meteorologist Abby Ezell provided an Easter weekend forecast, and the Jack Howard Theatre hosts the 'I Have a Dream' performance celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with gospel music and drama from today through Sunday — blending education and tribute. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Dr. Jason Anderson was chosen as the next Executive Director of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts and awaits the board's approval (June 15 meeting). He will replace retiring Dr. Steve Horton on July 1. KNOE
- ➤ On Monday, Carver Elementary hosted Wossman High JROTC cadets who taught financial literacy, banking, and career options to elementary students as part of a Junior Achievement program — the cadets completed a four-hour training session before guiding the classes. KNOE
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Jo Ann Deal from the Better Business Bureau of Monroe appeared on Good Morning ArkLaMiss to explain how residents can respond when they receive a letter about unemployment benefits they did not file. She advised reviewing documents carefully and contacting the bureau if the claim seems suspicious. KNOE
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Will Wade returned to the PMAC on Monday, Mar. 30 ahead of his scheduled LSU return press conference — his appearance sets the stage for reengagement with the team. KNOE
- ➤ Will Wade was introduced at the PMAC event on Mar. 30 (at an arena in town) where sports officials welcomed him for the upcoming season. Local fans are eager to learn more about his role. KNOE
