- ➤ More than 15 teams raced in the Dragon Boat Festival Saturday on the Bayou in Monroe. The event, hosted by the Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana, raised funds that will support programs to help children, teens and families while the Monroe team earned first place. KNOE
- ➤ Many from the Twin Cities gathered at ULM on April 12th for the 2025 Dragon Boat Festival—where food vendors, kids areas and a full day of racing were on offer. Proceeds raised went to the Children’s Coalition—supporting local youth initiatives. MyArkLaMiss

- ➤ West Monroe police warned residents yesterday (April 12) about scam calls from individuals posing as officers (in Ouachita Parish) who request donations and urged people not to share credit card details. MyArkLaMiss
