Love the Boot Week calls on residents to join volunteer clean-up events across Louisiana this week — local leaders say keeping neighborhoods tidy boosts pride and attracts visitors while supporting local businesses.

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for the 2026 T.H.

Scott Awards to honor local businesses, nonprofits and individuals impacting Ouachita Parish. The awards ceremony is set for Thursday, May 21 at the Monroe Civic Center while nominations close Friday, April 24 (5 p.m.).
