CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a 47-year-old woman on April 11 for three counts of forgery, three counts of identity theft and theft greater than $25,000—she is accused of stealing identities and securing over $50,000 in federal loans. KNOE
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ West Monroe Mayor Staci Mitchell joined FOX 14’s Mya Holloway on April 25 to discuss the kickoff of the 2025 Ouachita RiverFest — the event will offer local entertainment and community activities. MyArkLaMiss
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The LHSAA State Tennis Championship will run from April 28 to May 2 at Forsythe Tennis Center and ULM’s Heard Stadium with divisions I and II playing on the opening day and later matches set for April 29—organizers from Discover Monroe-West Monroe and Northeast Louisiana Community Tennis Association expect the event to boost local business by about $620,850. This is the first major event held at Forsythe Tennis Center—local visitors are set to see the rising talent in the game. KNOE
