An inclusive playground is under construction in Forsythe Park after more than $750,000 was raised over three years to serve children with physical, sensory, and vision disabilities, and organizers say it will be finished by the end of the weekend (final inspections are pending).

Voters rejected Monroe City Schools tax measures yesterday with a 52% to 48% vote; the failed propositions would have raised about $6.3 million for utilities & about $2.7 million for operations support, excluding staff salaries.
