- ➤ On May 24, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated a homicide in Monroe after a vehicle crashed into an apartment building on Roy Drive with one person inside suffering a gun shot wound who later died—authorities issued an arrest warrant for second-degree murder and the suspect is in custody. - ➤ Attorney Carroll Powell Lexing filed a lawsuit on behalf of Neverless Robbson, who claims Investigator Cody Kinniard used excessive force during a May 31 vehicle stop outside his home—this suit follows a grand jury's refusal to charge Kinniard in a November 2024 shooting. KNOE
