  • An MPD officer (Brown) helped a citizen relocate a snapping turtle by escorting it in his patrol car to a safer area today.  KNOE
  • The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana held a sold-out Empty Bowls fundraiser Saturday that featured samples from 17 restaurants, live music, and hand-crafted bowls for all-inclusive ticket holders. Every $10 donated helped provide about 30 meals for local hunger relief.  KNOE
  • The South Central Shrine Association held a clown competition and parade in West Monroe today at 111 Cotton to support children receiving care at Shriners hospitals and clinics. About 15 participants competed in nine categories to boost awareness of the nonprofit’s mission.  KNOE
