- ➤ Monroe police arrested 18-year-old Andrew Grant on June 4 after a witness said he ran a stop sign on March 26 at Riverside Dr and Rochelle Ave—hitting a bicyclist who later died and testing with 72.2 mL of THC in his blood, over 14 times the legal limit. KNOE
- ➤ A NELA man was extradited from Arkansas and charged with six counts of attempted second-degree murder after a fire in which all six people in the building escaped unharmed—authorities are investigating the incident. KNOE
- ➤ Richard D. Pope, a West Carroll Parish man arrested in Arkansas on May 22 for multiple attempted second-degree murder charges—along with aggravated arson and obstruction of justice—was extradited to Louisiana and is now held at Richland Parish Detention Center. KNOE
