- ➤ West Monroe Mayor Staci Mitchell said Glenwood Regional Medical Center now has more local control after a change in ownership—local leaders now have a greater role in hospital decisions. Hospital CEO Dr. Mark Boersma stated the hospital maintained quality care without any supply issues. KNOE
- ➤ Multiple law enforcement offices in Northeast Louisiana report a cellular outage that is disrupting 911 operations—LaSalle and Concordia Parishes cannot answer calls while Lincoln Parish has issues with its office and courthouse systems, though Winn Parish’s 911 service remains operational. - ➤ On June 16, 2025, the Ouachita Parish Mosquito Abatement District reported that about 10 locations, including West Monroe—between First West and West Monroe High School—and Monroe at Mt. Vernon, Renwick Street, River Oaks and between Ferrand and Highway 165 tested positive for West Nile virus.
