- ➤ On Sunday, June 22, shortly after 9:00 p.m., troopers said that a 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Noah Short aged 27 crossed the centerline on LA Highway 151 just south of LA Highway 144 and struck a 2016 Nissan Sentra, killing West Monroe resident Rachel Rushing and injuring a passenger who was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. - ➤ Richard Hicks, 68, from Pioneer, was given multiple life sentences on June 23 for hurting children through sex trafficking and making child pornography—law officials said he sent around 500 messages with people in the Philippines during the crimes. KNOE
