The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council announced winners of nine awards at its 40th Annual Northeast Louisiana Arts Awards on Thursday, June 25 in West Monroe (honorees include Visual Artist of the Year Stacy Thomas Medaries and Performing Artist of the Year The John L.
Brown, Sr. Memorial Scholarship Band).
The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council announced that the restored Dragonfly sculpture will be installed in Forsythe Park on Tuesday, June 30, with work set to begin between 6:30 and 7 a.m. and expected to take 2-3 hours (a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be planned later).
