The Black Creative Circle will host its Visual Artists Meetup today from 12 PM to 2 PM at Marbles Recreation Center to engage local African American artists in art history chats and critiques.

The group also plans an exhibition at Masur Museum and additional art projects across North Louisiana.

Movie Making 101 Summer Camp will run from July 20-31 (excluding weekends) at the ULM Clarke M.

The University of Louisiana Monroe is hosting its second annual Healthcare Career Camp from July 20 to 22 on campus for high school students to explore health careers.

From April through June, hundreds of local volunteers and partners improved parish cleanliness by hosting 93 beautification events, removing over 12,000 pounds of litter, and completing 16 beautification projects, including the popular Love the Boot Week cleanup (all four affiliates earned top ratings on the Litter Index Report).

The University of Louisiana Monroe has been awarded a $4.2 million federal contract to enhance weather forecasting by adding 50 new monitoring stations in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

Project work will begin immediately (including new job roles) to improve flood and drought monitoring (vital for local safety).
