- ➤ On July 12, deputies in Choudrant attempted a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. but the vehicle failed to stop, leading to a 16-mile chase during which the suspect (seen holding a handgun out the window) ignored commands and exited his car before officers fired (resulting in his death and minor injuries to another individual) with no deputies hurt.
