- ➤ Tickets are on sale now for the Two Cars Two Winners raffle that supports women’s, children’s and critical care services at St. Francis Medical Center while funding the first phase of a NICU remodel. - ➤ On August 11 at 3:20 p.m., a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 471 near Atlanta claimed the life of 40-year-old Dustin Demoss from Monroe when his Dodge crossed the centerline and hit a GMC—the driver and a passenger in the GMC sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a local hospital. - ➤ On August 11th, law enforcement agencies in Monroe worked the aftermath of a police chase when sheriff’s deputies pursued a suspected shooter from Orange Street to near North 18th Street—ending with a crash on Prune Street where West Monroe police had found two shooting victims and the suspect died.
