Yesterday, the West Monroe Recycling Center hosted Saturday Recycling from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 607 Grantham Avenue — community members brought plastics, cardboard, aluminum, metal cans, and glass after cleaning them as required.

Today the Monroe Symphony League’s annual Book Fair is underway at 320 North 4th Street in Monroe, running from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and charging $2 admission—events held on October 4, 10 and 11 support local music and arts while the League will present the Time & Remembrance concert at Church of the Redeemer in West Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on October 11.
