- ➤ West Monroe Parks and Recreation will mark Kiroli Park’s 100th birthday tomorrow by offering free admission from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.— the event will include games, artisan vendors, food trucks, demonstrations and pickleball matches. KNOE
- ➤ A No Kings Day of Action protest will be held in Monroe at Renwick Pedestrian Footbridge on Oct. 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with former Mayor Jamie Mayo and Council Member Juanita Woods speaking, while a Ruston rally will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ruston Civic Center with former State Senator Bill Jones set to address the crowd. - ➤ On Oct. 16, ARCO Monroe hosted a luncheon at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe—honoring members and employers who support people with disabilities and their families. KNOE

- ➤ Discover Monroe-West Monroe has asked Ouachita Parish churches to submit details of their candlelight and Christmas worship services by today — the deadline for having these events featured in printed and digital holiday guides for both locals and visitors. KEDM
- ➤ Louisiana Delta Comic Con will be held at the West Monroe Convention Center on Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Louisiana Delta Community College and Good Marking ArkLaMiss announced that the event will feature special guests — wrestling legend Jimmy Hart, voice actor Tony Daniels, and actor Joseph Poliquin — with $10 ticket sales benefiting LDCC student scholarships.
