  • King and Queen Janus XLIII Clif and Lynda Bergeron appeared on Good Morning ArkLaMiss to detail upcoming events hosted by the Krewe of Janus—events that are expected to engage local residents.  KNOE
  • Councilwoman Juanita Woods invited residents to join a community cleanup on November 1 at Tried Stone Baptist Church—3022 Bronson Street in Monroe; the cleanup will run from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.—volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.  MyArkLaMiss

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Louisiana Department of Education is reviewing physical education standards to add lifelong fitness, health literacy, and measurable outcomes as traditional activities like kickball give way to more inclusive skill development.
