- ➤ Monroe city facilities, including garbage services and transit, will observe closures and altered schedules for the Christmas and New Year holidays. KEDM
- ➤ Lilly Roofing is offering a free new roof to residents of West Monroe, Bossier City, and Coushatta as a community service initiative, with applications open until Jan. 3. KNOE
- ➤ The City of Monroe organized a public meeting to discuss the Safe Housing Healthy Homes Program aimed at improving residential safety. KNOE
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Monroe City School Board will decide in January on converting Neville High School into a charter school, amid division between faculty support and overwhelming parental opposition. KNOE

- ➤ Monroe's Department of Planning and Urban Development, backed by a federal grant, launches inspections to address lead paint and household hazards for qualifying homes. KNOE
