- ➤ Louisiana Economic Development reported a record economic year with over $11.2 billion in investments and nearly 2,500 new jobs benefiting small business + big business. LED officials said they will seek further growth as they near their 90th anniversary. KNOE
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ AT&T donated $20,000 to Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) on Dec. 19 to fund scholarships for 20 students pursuing internet technician degrees in a region facing economic strain. KNOE
- ➤ The Louisiana State Library reported a nearly 9% increase in library use last year, showing more community members turning to local resources. KNOE
- ➤ Grambling State University president Martin Lemelle, Jr released a statement extending condolences to the families of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle after he died in a plane crash in North Carolina. Biffle had driven the university-branded car in the Daytona 500 (with the NY Racing Team). KNOE
