🚨 Crime
On July 12, deputies in Choudrant attempted a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. but the vehicle failed to stop, leading to a 16-mile chase during which the suspect (seen holding a handgun out the window) ignored commands and exited his car before officers fired (resulting in his death and minor injuries to another individual) with no deputies hurt.
Monroe police arrested a Monroe man last week — he is accused of burglarizing storage units on Fulton Drive.
